Gadgets Cause Cancer in Your Child, Myth or Fact? - Healthy Friend, the current development of gadgets , you can not avoid. Yep, almost every individual from children to adults has this tool . But its use is sustainable, will have a negative impact on the behavior of your child in their daily lives.

Your child will tend to cool themselves and  rely on gadgets rather than learning or interacting with the surrounding environment. In addition, this tool also releases energy known as radio frequency waves (RF), and is associated with the risk of cancer, even tumors. But, is it true that gadgets can cause cancer, especially in children? Let's see the explanation here!

Here are the facts!
RF radiation is a form of electromagnetic radiation. This radiation, can be categorized into two types, namely ionization and non-ionization. Ionization radiation is a type of radiation exposure that will affect the state of an object being passed. Examples are x-rays, radon, and cosmic rays.

Whereas in non-ionization, exposure to light does not directly affect the object in its path. Examples are radio frequency, very low frequency or power frequency. Exposure to ionizing radiation, is known to increase the risk of cancer.

In addition, exposure to non-ionizing radiation also has the effect of increasing the risk of health problems. But according to research conducted, there is no consistent evidence that in some devices that expose non-ionizing radiation such as radar, microwave ovens, gadgets,  and others can increase the risk of cancer in humans.

How the radiation waves work
The gadget works by sending signals to the nearest cell tower using RF waves. These waves include non-ionizing radiation, which does not have  enough energy  to cause cancer by damaging DNA directly in cells or heating up body tissue.

This wave is different from the ionizing wave which can directly break chemical bonds in DNA. Most of the research carried out in the laboratory has supported the idea that these waves do not cause DNA damage.

How to deal with your child?
Although there are no definitive studies on the risk of cancer in using gadgets,  you need to limit their use. This is because this tool can cause eye fatigue, sleep deprivation, anxiety, and even depression. Of course, this will affect your child's growth and development.

Well, those are some facts you need to know, Healthy Friend! Although there are no consistent research results on this matter, you still need to regulate the use of gadget usage . Keep your child busy with physical activity with you and his friends, so that growth and development is more optimal. Don't forget, share this info with the people closest to you, yes!
